My favourites of this month are a mixture of old and new beauty products and I’ve decided to add in a few accessorise that I have absolutely been loving. Bear in mind I’ve been trying not to spend money at all this month as I want to save up and go on a big spree before I head out on holiday, so once that is out the way I will be going back to normal and giving out reviews on new things that I have been using.
There are two concealers that have been my go to concealers for a while now and that is the Maybelline Erase Concealer and the Mac Studio Fix Colour Correct Concealer. What I love most about the Maybelline concealer is it brightens up your face and it conceals as well, it has a very high coverage so if you have any dark blemishes on your face this will definitely cover it up. I also love the way this sits on the skin, it doesn’t budge at all and with most concealers a feel as though they are very heavy on the skin and feel awkward however with this it is so lightweight and you can’t really feel it on the skin.
The Mac Studio Fix Colour Correct Concealer is such a convenient palette to have, it colour corrects your skin tone, it is handy to travel with and it has a high coverage. I normally don’t use foundation when I use this as it colour corrects my skin tone so it evens it out without me adding foundation, sometimes when I do want more coverage though I would use a BB cream along with it.
I’ve also been loving the Nars Blusher in Torrid, I think this is ideal for this time of the year, its more peachy than pink but still has slight tones of pink within it. I prefer Nars blushers to any other brand because the quality is really good, it has a velvety texture, they blend into the skin so well and the colour payoff is good. I feel as though with most brands you can’t really tell what shade of blusher you use as they all just seem the same, but with Nars Blushers you can tell the difference between them.
I have a few favourite lipsticks this month, I’m not going to go into too much detail with them because they are all pretty much the same but in different ways, most of them are peachy nudes, some are pink nudes. Also with these lipsticks I’ve been lining them with the Mac Lip Pencil in the shade Soar, I’ve had this lip pencil for a long time and you can pair this lip pencil with just about different shades of nude lip colours.
Mac – Angel, Mac – Pink Plaid, Mac – Shanghai Spice, Charlotte Tilbury – Bitch Perfect
There are swatches down below, even though they may look similar, once they are on the lips there look different.
The days I don’t wear make – up I would usually cleanse and tone my face 2-3 times a day and I like to use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for this. This is a sensitive cleanser/toner, it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals nor is it filled with perfumes so it won’t encourage any breakouts on your face. My skin instantly has a boost to it, it feels really fresh and it is very delicate when you apply it in the face.
