Nip + Fab Face Wash Review – Glycolic Acid

Hey my lovelies, I’m just going to get straight into the post today, as I feel like it will be a long one! I’m reviewing the Nip + Fab Deep Foaming Facial Cleanser/Exfoliator. Since you know I love this product so much as I gave a brief review of it in my monthly favourites here I will be going more into depth to why it is so good and I will also share similar products you can use.

Now you are probably thinking how can this gel like consistency work as an exfoliator well it actually does from my experience since I have been using it for over a month now. The gel consistency is what caught my attention the most because I wanted a more gentle exfoliator so I picked this up not knowing I was getting a lot more than I was hoping for. Since I’ve been using this my skin has felt so much more smooth and radiant. Usually when I breakout I don’t worry about the breakout much, I worry more about the scar it leaves behind, my skin has really high pigmentation so my blemishes’ look a lot darker than they should, which makes them take forever to fade. Since I have been using this product the blemishes on my face has faded much faster than they normally do and the area around it just looks much smoother. This is because it contains Glycolic Acid.

Glycolic Acid is really popular for
older people who want there skin to look a lot more youthful and radiant. You can get Glycolic Acid serums, face washes and peels and they all have different concentrations, this face wash sits at 2% concentration of glycolic acid and you can get products as high as 80%. Glycolic acid is very mild, it takes off the dead layer of your skin surface which lets your skin heal and fix problem areas a lot quicker. So this is why the dark areas of my skin fades a lot quicker. People with a lot of fine lines will notice they start to fade as well. I use this every night but I leave it on my face like a face mask once I have thoroughly massaged it into my skin, the reason why I use it at night is so my skin can heal overnight. Some nights when my skin really needs a good repair I like to use the Estee Lauder Advanced Skin Repair Serum, I literally swear by this but I wouldn’t recommend using it all the time. However you can really use any type of serum, you can stick to Nip + Fab and use there serums or even use Clarins Lotus Oil which is another favourite or even Khiels which is so so good for any type of skin.

For a facewash that has so many qualities, I reckon £7.95 is a bargain! You can pick this up from Boots or even online on their website.
