Oh my days, how did July end so quickly? Cannot believe we are already into August, this year is nearly over! This month I’ve been loving a bunch of products I got a few months ago, I’m that kind of person that takes forever to like something, because I personally just feel as though when you use a product there can be so many ways to use it, so if you don’t like it the first time you use it try it another way the next time or if it’s a skincare product then you may not see the difference straight away, maybe after a few uses you will start to see the difference.
I am a neutral kind of girl, I’m not one to venture out with a pop of colour when it comes to makeup so this is why the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Palette has become my most favourite palette since I’ve owned palettes. The quality of these shadows are so amazing, I can’t even describe how the goodness of the quality is, with most shadows I feel as though you need to go back and forth to get that colour pay off to show but with the Amrezy shadows one dip in the shadow and you are blending away on your eyes. You can keep it subtle or even go for a bold look with shadows. So in love with it!
Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream with SPF 30, has been my go to foundation for the day time for a good few months now. I love how it gives a decent amount of coverage and if you want slightly more coverage then a concealer will do well. It’s really important to wear a high SPF during the day, especially if you are out between 11am-5pm because that is when the sun is likely to be more direct to your skin, which can overtime cause a lot of problems with your skin; discoloration, wrinkles, freckles, skin cancer, etc. I can sit here and talk about the importance of SPF all day but I shall leave that for another post. Back to this product, sometimes I like to wear it underneath a foundation if I want more coverage, but overtime as I’ve been using this quite a lot I have seen a difference in my skin, the dark blemishes on my face are more lighter, with the direct sun it made the blemishes more dark and more visible, then I realised I need to start protecting my skin.
Also I had done a review on the Dr. Organics Snail Gel (Click here if you haven’t yet read it because trust me you are missing out) and I have to say since I’ve been using it near enough everyday for the past few months my skin has been the best it has ever been from days I can’t even remember. I am very young but my skin feels a lot youthful, I feel as though I am glowing, my makeup applies effortlessly, I haven’t broke out in a while, in fact my skin feels so healed and smooth, I couldn’t ask for more. Keep in mind if you want to see results then you got to stick to using this product.
I’ve been loving the texture of the Burberry Lipsticks! This my favourite colour, number 10 – Dusty Rose, it is a nude shade with more mauve, pink undertone. Although this has a nice shine to it, I love pairing it with a lipgloss, it enhances the colour more and with it being such a subtle colour it looks very complementing.
I like my highlighters to have that frosty sheen, I don’t like specks of glitter in it, in fact no glitter at all, I prefer the face to have more of a glow. Recently I have fallen in love with the Christian Dior Nude Tan Highlighter, it is a powder form however the texture is yet so creamy and the slightest bit of this product goes a very long way.
Since we have been blessing with such amazing weather, the downfall to it is my face is looking as greasy as ever! So to avoid this, I dust some of this goodness around the centre of my face, it is the Prep & Prime Translucent Powder. I just prefer this to a powder foundation, or a pressed powder that it similar to my skin shade just because this is a lot more lightweight and it doesn’t feel like I am applying so much cake!
Although the sun feels so good, your skin can dry out a lot, so I’ve been using the Sanctuary Body Moisture Spray. This feels amazing on the skin, I love carrying it around with me, it is so light-weight on the skin, feels so good and is really moisturizing, the only downfall would be the smell, I am not sure if i love it or hate it I’m a bit ‘uhh, hmm’ about it.
These lipglosses are always a thumbs for me, these two shades have been my go-to this month. Sunbaked is the darker one, it is very similar to the Burberry Lipstick in Dusty Rose and I love Pairing these both together. Pink Ice is the lighter one and I like using this around the centre of my lips when I wear a nude lipstick. It looks really good on and the good thing about this lipgloss is you can pair it with just about any lipstick.
The Chanel Lipstick in the Rouge Allure Velvet collection in the colour La Favorite is the perfect shade for the summer, it is a very bold coral and has a slight hint of pink, I’ve pairing this with the Mac Cherry lipliner, and wow the combo is just to die for! The red outline blended into a coral centre looks stunning on especially when the rest of your makeup is simple.
Lately I’ve been wearing crop tops, I like to pair them with high-waisted skinny jeans or a high-waist midi skirt, just because I’m not a fan of showing my waist off, I’ve never really been comfortable to show a lot of skin. Most of my crop tops in fact all but one are from Top Shop, and one I got from Primark that is very casual and loose, the ones I got from Topshop have a perfect length they aren’t too short they have a perfect length to wear high-waisted jeans with. The ones above are all the ones I have from Topshop the first three I love wearing for the day time, the last one can be worn at day time as well but I actually wore it to my sisters birthday and dressed it up a little.
