Fruit Cooler – Banana, Mango & Passion Fruit

As you all know by now I like to have a good source of healthy foods, but I find it quite boring cutting up fruit and eating it as a whole so I like to put a few items of fruit together and make a quick smoothie or cooler out of it. The benefits of a smoothie/cooler are you can swap it with a fizzy drink, it tastes much better, feels so much more refreshing and it holds quite a lot of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to your body. It clears out your system, gives you a lot of energy!
My new favourite is the banana, mango & passion fruit cooler, it reminds me a little of the baby food, banana delight for some reason, but tastes much better and refreshing. Remember you want to make coolers with fruits that go together, I personally wouldn’t mix oranges and bananas together, so I think about drinks that are already out there, berry coolers (raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, blueberries), citrus cooler (oranges & lime), tropical (apple, pineapple, mango) etc.

Liquid drink
  • You want to peel & chop your fruit up first into chunks, so it will be easier to blend.
  • Then you want to get whatever glass you are planning on using preferably a 500ml one and measure your drink just about less than half, this is the liquid and too make any kinds cooler it’s best to have a liquid so the drink isn’t thick and it adds a lot more flavour. The Coldpress Smoothies have to be the best, the only place I know that sells them is Tesco & they have different kinds.
  • Then add your fruit, liquid & ice into the blender and blend away till there’s no bits of fruit left. You can always add ice near the end =, that’s if you are wanting it slightly slushy.
Now go ahead and try this, it’s quick, easy & tastes amazing.
