For a while now I’ve been meaning to try out a smoothie filled with green leafy vegetables but I’ve always been wary about the taste because to me it’s important to enjoy eating healthy, i don’t like the idea of forcing myself to eat something that doesn’t have a good taste to it. After looking up various recipes I thought I’de mix it about and make up my own, so here’s what I done.
It is very very important to make sure you have a good amount of green vegetables each day! They are high in various different minerals, vitamins, disease-fighting cells, also they are rich in fibre, which can lower your cholesterol and blood pressure, Kale is high in calcium which strengthens your teeth and bones. Let’s just say it is very important, make sure you consume it raw and cooked to get both benefits from it!
1 Banana, peeled & sliced
2 Apples, peeled & sliced
Small handful of mint leaves
1 cup liquid (apple juice /mango juice /pineapple juice/tropical juice)
3 or 4 ice cubes
All you have to do is add all the ingredients to the blender and mix it up till there are no bits left.
I’m not just saying this but this did taste really good, I think the flavour of the fruit cancelled out the taste of the spinach also the mint was a nice touch to it, it was very refreshing.
Anyways you should definitely try this out, you won’t regret it!
