Hey lovelies! I hope you’re all well. So recently I decided I would start a 30 Day Skincare Challenge, today is my first day and I thought I would kick it off with washing my make up brushes. I use them on my skin near enough every single day, so it would be best to start this skincare challenge with having clean make up brushes.
I have actually done a post on how I wash my make up brushes and tbh nothing has changed. I do the exact same thing, my brushes have kept in tact, they have remained their shape, they’re still soft and the hairs on the brush haven’t ended up falling off.
Baby shampoo is my favourite thing to use! I’m going to leave a link to that post, that will give a more in depth talk through on how I wash my make up brushes Lets Talk Make Up Brushes – Cleaning. You can use pretty much anything as long as it doesn’t have a lot of chemicals in it because you don’t want to ruin the hairs on the brush. Sometimes I use bar of soup from Lush because all their products are cruelty free, they are natural so I don’t mind using that on my make up brushes.
Make it your priority to keep your brushes clean, I know it is such a hard chore and it takes up a lot of time but just put one of your favourite programmes on and your time will fly by.
When brushes sit there they end up collecting a lot of bacteria and dust and then you use it on your face and just say if you have a breakout on your face it can get infected causing irritation on the skin. Clean your brushes regularly.
Sincerely Sophs x
