Hey lovelies! Today I am on Day 2 of my Skincare Challenge. When you start your day off you probably cleanse your face and start doing your make up, maybe add some moisturiser, I do know a few people who don’t use a moisturiser on their face at all and I don’t know how they can do that, I literally lather so much moisturiser on my face.
I always add a serum first thing to my face and let that soak into my skin for a while. There are different types of serums to tackle different problems that you feel like you want to prevent, acne scarring wrinkles etc. For me when I breakout, the aftermath is the worst. Asian skin tone is so pigmented so when we have a blemish it literally leaves a dark imperfection and that is what my main focus usually is. My life would be so much easier if my skin tone was even but it’s not so I use a serum to do the job.
First I was using the Clinique Even Better Serum which evened out my skin tone and my skin was at its best until I started to notice I have very large pores. I am now currently using the Kiehls Precision Lifting & Pore Tightening Concentrate, it is on it’s last few drops but my pores have honestly reduced in size. After a few hours of my make up being on my face I used to notice little dots on my cheeks around my nose area, but now they have reduced in size over time and are gradually starting to disappear.
Invest in a good serum. My next serum will be focused on the overall texture to my skin. Blemishes will fade overtime but the texture of my skin is what I truly would love to be at its best. I want a really good serum which is going to make my skin appear a lot smoother and really even it out. I have seen a few that I like the sound of Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment which is a bit expensive and I am not so sure if it would be a good investment and then there is Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum, however this one mainly focuses on blemishes, so I am still deciding unless a find another one.
