Day 9 – 30 Day Skincare Challenge

I am so lucky in my under eye department, I have no bags, no dark circles, no wrinkles etc. I don’t wear any concealer under my eye, sometimes when I decide I want to go all out with my make up I might apply a bit of brightening concealer to make my under eye look really white as you do when you want to look caked, but nothing fancy.

However I do look after my eyes, I don’t mean look after as in by buying a product to see if it would work or not but just look after as in not be rough with my eyes.
The skin around your eye is the thinest layer of skin and trust me you don’t want to do anything to irritate it or to damage it because it will take a very long time to heal or even get slightly better.
When you take your make up off, use an oil cleanser.
When you apply concealer use a sponge not a brush as you are more likely to be rough with a brush.
When your eyes get irritated use a hot damp cloth to calm it rather than rubbing your fingers in there.
Be extra careful with your eyes, overtime the more you do these little things to agitate your eyes the more worse it will get and sometime you don’t even notice the changes until one day you look at your under eye and realise how bad it has gone. Drink a lot of water to keep your skin hydrated, if you have dry areas around your eye then drinking a lot of water will bring back some moisture.

If you’re looking to invest in an eye cream there is the Kieh’s Vitamin C Brightening eye cream which fades away any dark areas around your eyes also it keeps your under eye area hydrated. I only use this on days where my skin is lacking a lot of moisture. Eye creams can be used for different problems so go for an eye cream that targets the specific problem that you want to change and it will focus on that and reduce it over time.
